Q. How do you prepare the team members for the team?
A. Each team member receives a Team Manual to prepare for the trip. Preparation also Includes a minimum of three team meetings prior to trip.
Q. How do I raise the money for a trip? A. We help by showing you how to raise funds and solicit support for your mission trip. Q. Is the cost of the trip tax deductible? A. Yes, to the extent of IRS guidelines. Q Do you have to be a member of a church to be part of a team? A. No Q. May I invite a friend, neighbor, business associate or a relative to be part of a team? A. Yes Q. Is everyone who goes a Christian/Believer? A. No. However, each team member must comply with certain Biblical standards and morals that are held by Love in Action International Ministries. (Example: Alcohol, smoking, obscene language or inappropriate relationships with the opposite sex while on a trip are not acceptable.)
Q. May one pay for the trip with a credit card? A. Yes Q. Are these areas of Bolivia dangerous? A. As in the United States, there are areas of danger in any city or community. We do not put ourselves in harms way. We travel as a team.
Q. Is English spoken where we go? A. Spanish is the language of Bolivia but we use translators and usually there is someone on the team who speaks Spanish.
Q. Is the water safe for drinking in Bolivia? A. We always use bottled water.
Q. What if I don't know anyone on the team? A. That is okay. You will become part of the team and will make friends that will be, at times, closer than family. Q. Are there scholarships? A. Scholarships are generally given to a team member through that person's local Church. Love in Action does not have a scholarship fund.
