LIAIM Directors

Gary and Jerri Zimmerman have an extensive background in world missions involvement. Gary felt the call to be a missionary at the age of 17 while in college. Jerri felt God's calling to be a missionary at the young age of 8. They met at a Christian college and while there, applied to a church denomination to be missionaries. Upon their graduation, Gary continued his studies at a theological seminary until they were appointed as missionaries to Costa Rica, Central America.

They enrolled in the Spanish Language Institute in San Jose, Costa Rica and graduated in 1975. They served in a Bible School and coordinated stateside work team projects in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Guatemala. Upon the Zimmermans return to the States, they continued their calling by developing what is now known as Love In Action International Ministries.

Professionally, Gary has numerous years experience as a carpenter and a General Contractor of custom homes in Southern California. Jerri is a credentialed public school teacher and is fluent in Spanish.
